Asset Allocation Advice
When I worked for a financial services company, friends would often ask me for investment tips. I had to tell them that I wasn’t authorised by the regulators to offer financial advice. But I could draw their attention to a few lines by Anita Loos, later immortalised by Marilyn Monroe:
Everything’s pie
When stocks are high,
But beware when they start to descend;
For then those louses
Go back to their spouses,
And Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.
Still good advice, actually.
